Nani is in top form with back to back hits in his career. But with HIT 3, he has taken things to another level as he plays a ruthless cop for the first time. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT 3 has hit the screens today and let’s see if it lives up to all the hype created.

Story:

Arjun Sarkaar(Nani) is a ruthless cop who commits a heinous murder. This is also the time he finds out that different murders at various locations are happening in the same manner. The plot is simple, who is behind these murders? Did Arjun crack the case? and why he is so ruthless and what is the basic backdrop? To know the answers, watch the film on the big screen.

Plus Points:

Nani is undoubtedly the major attraction of HIT3. His new action packed avatar will shock and all. Be it his look or dialogue delivery, Nani has killed it. With each passing film of his, Nani is getting better and his stardom will go to another level altogether. The first half is investigation drama and nicely sets up the tone for the second half and in the latter part, it is all action on another level. The amount of action showcased is brutal and has not been showcased on Telugu screens before in recent times. The action designed is top notch and will be loved by the masses.

HIT 3 has multiple cameos and they have all been unleashed in a stylish manner. Srinidhi Shetty gets a good role and she makes the most of it and shares great chemistry with Nani. Rao Ramesh, Komalee Prasad and others were good.

Prateek Babbar makes his Telugu debut and he is impressive in the film and suits the psycho character quite well. The basic theme of the film is neat and makes for an interesting watch.

HIT 3 is high on emotions and the logic behind the hero’s behaviour is justified well in the film. The last twenty minutes of HIT 3 is power packed and reminds us of many Bollywood films packed with action and drama. Minus Points:

HIT 3 is undoubtedly an adult film and is not suitable for family audience. One gets a feeling that there was no need to showcase so much violence in the film. There are a few scenes which are quite disturbing.

The film does not have major twists or turns and is a survival thriller in the second half. Sailesh Kolanu has taken a simple theme and made sure that there is mostly action and not enough drama in key parts.

The screenplay is a bit dull and more arresting scenes in terms of drama and variation should have been showcased to make things better. The first half runs in a plain thread with not much action in the narrative. Technical Aspects:

Mickey J Meyer has scored the music and his work is decent. But one also gets a feeling that the background score could have been a tad better in the first half. The dialogues are a bit loud but the songs have been placed well.

The production values are top notch and the VFX showcasing the bloodshed is designed well. The action blocks are brutal and elevate the proceedings quite well. The editing is cool and so was the art work, especially the set work in the action blocks.

Coming to the director Sailesh Kolanu, he is back with yet another impressive thriller. As he had Nani playing the main lead, Sailesh showcased the star hero in a completely new avatar which is the selling point of the film. Had he added more twists and a more stronger villain, things would have been even better. But he lives up to all the hype created and gives the audience a pulsating action thriller. Verdict:

On the whole, HIT 3 is a pulsating survival thriller that has mad action. Nani in a rocking new avatar takes things to another level. The action drama is only for adults and has way too much bloodshed. If you ignore this aspect, HIT 3 makes up for a gripping watch for action movie lovers. Go for it.
